NEW DOCUMENTARY: A SHORT DOCUMENTARY BY KYE - HOW TRANSPARENT IS OUR HISTORY S1E1: THE BENGAL FAMINE

Introducing British Asian DJ & Radio Presenter Kye who has began to curate a series of short documentaries on his journey to widen his knowledge on history around the world. The documentary focuses on how British history relates to South Asians as well as other ethnic minority communities. It consists of a lot of thought provoking questions and sheds light on things which aren't always highlighted in the general school curriculum or the media. The documentary is a mixture of sources found online and features journalist Mahatir Pasha. The visuals are filmed by International videographer Sachin Patel, produced and edited by Kye and the Moving Famous team.

Here are some words from Kye "I've always been curious about South Asian history and its always hard to find, the media always portrays us in the same old stereotypical way, so I thought let's change the narrative. But honestly, I just wanted to release this kond of content because it is something I want to do and feel passionate about, I want to find the answers to all the questions I've had over the years" The main aim of this project is to make people understand their heritage, background and to also know what consequences shaped todays society good and bad. We don't have a direct target audience or focus but we have attempted to be as simple and concise as possible to meet todays needs of social media and to appeal to the current viewers and followers around Kye.
