NEW MUSIC: QUEER ARTIST RAVY RELEASES BRAND NEW LIGHT-HEARTED , RnB POP TRACK 'DRIP DROP'

A track for the dancers 'Drip Drop' is about embracing self-confidence, a feel good anthem to ignite some positivity during the current lockdown.



Ravy is a female rapper, songwriter and dancer who combines rap, with Pop, EDM, R&B blending it with traditional Indo-Caribbean music, and other genres. Ravy writes all her music and works closely with her producers Ruben Azziz, D.Phanton and Shafique Roman to make dynamic tracks that leave a lasting mark on the music world. Ravy hails from The Hague, The Netherlands but has Indo Caribbean roots and moved to London in 2020. Born Rachel Manniesing, Ravy fell in love with rap as a child, learning to speak English fluently by listening to old school Hip Hop, cartoons and video games. A trained dancer with an incredible work ethic, Ravy has featured on tracks and worked with several notable artists and producers. She recorded with hit songwriter Rock City , who wrote Rihanna’s “Pour It Up” ; Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” and Ciara’s “Level Up” . She’s also worked with notable producer Needlz , who produced Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are” and Cardi B ft. Kehlani’s “Ring” and released the song “Ladi Dadi” featuring Compton rapper PUTYAHEARTINIT and producer Bobby Kritical known for his work on Lil Uzi Vert’s “Sanguine Paradise”. Inspired by Missy Elliot and Chris Brown, Ravy brings impeccable dance choreography to her music videos and performances, daring to showcase huge kinetic energy in everything she does.

Speaking on the track, Ravy states "I just wanted to create a bop for the queer community to vibe on and dance to. So many club bangers by Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign etc. and now one done by a queer artist. Moi."
